Very personable but also absolutely knowledgeable and professional. Created a reliable and trustworthy atmosphere. Very reliable and quick to respond. Any queries were responded to in a timely and appropriate fashion. Clear communication, and good at explaining. All this with the added difficulty of online communication only.

The service is very good, however I think a much more in depth assessment would have benefitted myself. I'm very grateful for the recognition of my condition but think it has been rather a generic diagnosis based on only 2 one hour online meetings.

Salma has been an excellent titration nurse/pharmacist. She has listened to my issues regarding dosage changes , she has been diligent when my mental health was suffering. She has been responsive with messages and gave me the feedback on my QB check tests when I asked for them. This has been a long journey and difficult at times, as at the start of my diagnosis road, I was asked to resign from my role as a carer, I was struggling with burnout, but also starting to realise that my issues in work had been due to my undiagnosed ADHD. This issue with work lead to financial worries and had a bad effect on my self-esteem, but throughout this , the team at Psychiatry UK have been patient and understanding. Salma was very considerate of these factors and my titration went on longer than anticipated due to this, but all along the way Salma has been supportive and listened to my concerns. I would recommend Salma to anyone going through their titration. She has been a pleasure to work with.

Salma always makes sure to listen to what I say, rather than copying and pasting responses like my previous pharmacist

I was treated by Dr Shahab Tamuri and Nurse Salma Ali and both have been absolutely fantastic all throughout this period. They were kind, understanding and accommodating at all times and I never once felt unable to talk to them about any issues or concerns. The process itself has gone incredibly smoothly and Psychiatry UK make it so easy to contact your clinicians and request medication through their online portal. Would absolutely recommend - thank you both!

Profile

Hello I’m Salma! I’m a pharmacist and I have been on the register with the General Pharmaceutical Council for 15 years now. I studied at the School of Pharmacy, University of London and graduated in 2005. I registered with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society in 2006 and I have gone on to gain my Independent Prescribing qualification from Robert Gordon University in 2016 as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy Practice in 2017. I started my career as a pharmacist traveling all over the South East of England as a locum working in a range of different settings, from Methadone clinics to Nursing homes, and more community pharmacies that I can count! I have worked in a London mental health hospital for over five years now where I manage a busy pharmacy. I have gained vast experience with patients in an inpatient and outpatient mental health setting. I have a keen interest in the psychopharmacology of mental health conditions, especially ADHD and I enjoy being a small part of a patient’s journey when undergoing treatment for the first time. When I’m not surrounded by drugs I enjoy baking and clay pigeon shooting.
